Much of modern language derives from Latin, and Pappardelle comes from  “pappare” which means to eat, however in the Tuscan dialect the meaning has adapted and conveys the essence to eat with the joy of a child; so true!

Pappardelle is a popular winter option in Tuscany as many of the sauces served alongside are made from ingredients best found in the hunting season such as wild boar. Fear not, you won't need to go hunting to make an authentic pappardelle dish.   

A jar of our Datterini plum tomatoes and some pork and wild boar salsiccia should make a delicious ragu.During the autumn, if you’re looking for something simple and delicious, it also goes great with our organic cream of walnuts sauce.
